Sounds like a fun time. Sadly can't make this event. Saw you folks at Games Day, Baltimore 2010. Great Club. Will try to follow your blog, I go to Pittsburgh a couple of times a year (Steelers fan!).
ReplyDeleteBy the way, i'm with the Berks-PA Gaming Club based out of Reading, PA. Shooting an invite to you folks as well:

We've had several questions about the upcoming tournament so let me address a few things so everyone else can know what our responses were:
ReplyDeleteForge World
1) Special Characters form Imperial Armor 8, 9, & 10 are all usable. If you want to use something else with Forge World rules we are open to it with a few restrictions.
2) Let us know what you would like to use a head of time and we'll let you know if it's acceptable. You can reach Snake Eyes Gaming through this thread, any of our Dakka accounts, or our web site http://snakeyesgaming.blogspot.com/.
3) No Gargantuan Creatures or Super Heavy Vehicles.
4) You must bring the rules yourself along with 4 additional copies (1 for the judges and 1 for each opponent).
5) Please ask in advance! We don't want anyone to be counting on using a model and show up only to find out that they can't.
Conversion vs. Proxy
1) We've had people asking if they can use their converted this or that. Conversions are an important part of the game and we fully endorse them.
2) If GW does not make a model for it (Mycetic Spores for example) then players are forced to convert them, make them, or buy them from whatever they can. We understand thatand simply make sure that your opponent is aware that you have converted a Mycetic Spore.
3) If you have any questions please ask!
We aren't interested in limiting what anyone can and can't bring. We've had numerous questions from people who wanted to make sure that their armies were legal for our event. We were able to tell every one of those individuals that what they wanted to bring was fine. This post was written just in case there were others out there that wanted to come but weren't sure what was and wasn't allowed.
If you have any questions we can also be reached at: astro-telepathica@atlanticbb.net.
I've had a couple of questions about Grey Knights and I wanted to address them.
ReplyDeleteGrey Knights
1) The Daemonhunters Codex will be the only legal Grey Knight Codex for this tournament.
2) I know several of the local gaming stores have had advance copies of the Grey Knights Codex, but since the release date is not until April and since other players have not got to review the codex - the Grey Knight Codex is not legal for this event.
3) As always, please let me know if you have any questions.
I had a question about attendence. I have somewhere i must be at 7 oclock, but i still would like to participate in the tournament even if i am unable to play the 3 round, would it be acceptable for me to play then? i dont have a problem paying either, its just fun to play regardless of winning or losing
ReplyDeleteHey, will you be releasing a mission pack prior tot he tournament? It would be nice to see the missions before I prep my list.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the questions guys:
ReplyDeleteSean - Of course you can come and participate. You'll play in Rounds 1 and 2. If we have an odd number for Round 3 one of the Judges will play as a Ringer. For those of you that don't know - When you play against a Ringer the worst score that you can get is a draw.
Ed - The Missions will not be available before the event. We would like to eventually be able to post the Missions in advance. We had out a survey at the end of the event, if you'd like to see Missions Packets made available prior to the Tournament make sure you put that on your survey. We read them all and listen to what you guys want!
@Deathwolf
ReplyDeleteI appreciate that. I will be sure to fill one out at the end. I am really looking forward to it. See you there!
